I need to install 7z to extract 7z files?

For extracting multiple files i just need to extract from 001 file because the next part will be automagically extracted by 7z right? As example i have filename.7z.001 and filename.7z.002, i only need to put both files in same directory, right click and extract filename.7z.001 right? but i have to make sure they have same filename right?
